Carolina Leid did a nice news segment and article on the the increased use of QR codes in marketing for ABC news 7. We’re certainly glad that ABC and what seems like the rest of the United States are catching onto the Barcode Revolution.
NEW YORK (WABC) — It looks like a deformed barcode, a box filled with squiggly blots and lines.
Simply scan the QR code with your smartphone, and voila, the information you need appears in the palm of your hand in seconds.

Warren then posted a great response to Carolina Leid’s article.
QR codes are gaining popularity for purposes other than manufacturing, that range from the automatic entry of contact information into your smart phones, to GPS directions to a specific location. QR codes can be used for a myriad of mobile actions such as bringing you to a video, music file, or website and even companies that specialize in advanced QR code systems and mobile technology have started to spring up. The most interesting use of QR codes I’ve come across has been in the real estate industry-www.barcoderealty.com- a product by Barcode Publicity. It is very important to note that these QR codes are for use on all smart phones, and most tablets as well. This includes Androids, iPhones and Blackberries. I look forward to where they will be used next!
